Juice Week: Fat Flush Juice

We're kicking off Williams-Sonoma's Juice Week with some crazy juice blends!

When it comes to wild and crazy juice blends, pretty much anything that involves kale fits the description.

What is kale anyway? What does it even taste like whole?

To make this even more of an interesting blend, it has a few pinches of cayenne pepper. (It has metabolism boosting properties in it's ridiculously spicy little self.)

I had never tried this juice before, so I was pretty excited. Plus, my ancient juicer is a pain, so anything that inspires me to dig it out of the pantry must be pretty awesome.

Here is how to make the Fat Flush Juice (adapted from this recipe):

Ingredients:
2 handfuls of spinach
2 handfuls of kale
1 medium granny smith apple (cored)
2-3 sticks of celery
juice from 1/2 of a lemon
coconut water (or water) as needed
2 pinches of cayenne pepper (mix in after making juice)

I recommend juicing the ingredients in the order listed because leafy greens usually need something heavier added after them in order to get all the juice out of the juicer.

Also, if you don't have a juicer (or have a terrible one like me!) here are some good ones!

Fat Flush Juice Verdict:

Pros:
There aren't a lot of complicated ingredients (the problem with most juices).
It gets me to consume vegetables that I wouldn't normally eat alone.
It tastes super good!

Cons:
You have to actually juice things (but it's so worth it!).

Try it yourself and let me know how you liked it in the comments! Do you have any other juice recipes you'd like me to try?
